This adapter has been designed to connect to GoPro Hero cameras. The board allows access to all 30 pins of the expansion port in the rear of the cameras. Some of the functions this board can be used for include supplying power to the camera and remote control of the power button.
Supplying power will power the camera, charge the internal battery and even allow the camera to operate with the battery removed. Briefly grounding the MODE pin has the same function as physically pushing the power button. If the camera is set to one button record, you can remotely trigger the camera to start recording via this board.
