This is the GoPro HERO3: White Edition. The GoPro HERO3: White Edition features the same high performance specs as the Original HD HERO camera it replaces, but it’s been upgraded with built-in Wi-Fi, new UI and is 25% lighter and 30% smaller.

The HERO3: White Edition’s photo resolution is 5MP and the HERO3: White Edition can capture burst photos at 3 frames per second. Time-lapse photo capture mode enables automatic photo capture at 0.5, 2, 5, 10, 30 and 60 second intervals. The HERO3 is capable of capturing professional quality video at 1080p-30, 720p-60, 960p-30 and WVGA-60 resolutions and frame rates.
The GoPro HERO3: White Edition's reduced-distortion lens combines with the completely redesigned flat-lens waterproof housing, delivering stunning image sharpness both above and below water.
Understanding that sound quality is just as important as image quality, the engineers at GoPro have completely redesigned the HERO3: White Edition to be as adept at capturing the natural, subtle sounds of music and voice as it is at capturing the immersive sounds of sport. Also improved is GoPro's already infamous wind-noise reduction, ensuring that you'll hear more of your passion, be it your engine or expletives, and less of the wind during high speed activities.
The GoPro HERO3: White Edition is compatible with both the Wi-Fi Remote (not included) and the GoPro App and features built-in Wi-Fi. The Wi-Fi Remote (not included) is a wearable, waterproof remote control that can control up to 50 Wi-Fi-enabled GoPros at a time from a range of 600'. The HERO3: White Edition's built in Wi-Fi means it can also be controlled by Android or iOS smartphones and tablets running the GoPro App. The GoPro App enables live scene preview and full camera control on any compatible iOS or Android smartphone or tablet.
The GoPro HERO3: White Edition is compatible with older generation BacPacs, all GoPro mounting accessories, and with the newer generation LCD Touch BacPac and 2nd generation Battery BacPac. However, as all HERO3 cameras have a new size and shape they do require GoPro HERO3-specific Skeleton, Wrist, and 3D housings so be sure to check for HERO3 compatibility when purchasing any new housing accessories.
