All functions together:, , Screw-Mechanism for a complete protection and a stable mounting:, With the first hero1&2-version there was a snapping mechanism which was also responsible for the name. The mechanism was very easy to use, but has proven to be not as secure as i wanted it to be. There have been crashes reported where the front plate just flew off, which drastically reduces the safety of your GoPro. The search was long for the best mounting option, but finally a screwing solution has proven to be best. By using specially designed knurled screws, the GoPro can be removed just as easy on the field as with the snapping mechanism, and no tools are needed. There is no open side, which means the GoPro is completely safe inside and can't fall out. Also you do not need any rubber or zip-tie to close it., :, The housing comes with everything you need to install one of the 2 lens-options. It does not need to be glued in, but instead is being hold perfectly tight by 3 polyamide screws., :, By using 3 countersunk screws and some of the multiple mounting holes, the housing can be mounted very flexible on almost anything., :, "Snap" can be easily installed/uninstalled on the Eyefly frames. This way you can quickly change between different cameras if needed., The special thing: The GoPro can be mounted, so that the lens indeed is really in the middle of the frame, not "a bit" tending to one side (which looks stupid on video)., :, The front-plate allows the usage of different front-plates for different use-cases. The front-plate included in the standard housing is made for installing just the GoPro and nothing else. By using the "duo"-adapter, also available in the shop, you can mount a CCD-cam in addition to the GoPro without an issue., A short mounting manual::, 1) Put together "dry", without glueing, to make sure you've got everything right (including GoPro!),
This GoPro-housing offers a perfect protection of your GoPro against crashes / external force. With it's light weight (30g in total) and vast mounting options it is a lot more practical to use compared to the Skeleton case that comes with the GoPro. You can either mount it directly to your copter/plane, or use some kind of dampener against vibrations.
The classic Hero1&2-housing is successfully used by hundrets of model pilots in over 18 countries.
Due to this the housing is extremely resistant, i actually could stand on it (80kg) without a problem.

Modular approach
The frame is deliverd including all needed screws/nuts/damping material. Please choose the preferred lens protection above.
2) Let glue (instant) run into the edges and let it dry
3) Push the Polyamid nut into it's place in the side plate (you can secure them with glue as well, though this is not needed)
3) Cut foam rubber to fitting pieces and glue them to the inside, so that the GoPro sits tightly

4) Glue in Polyamid nuts in the appropriate cut-out on the back of the front plate
5) Place the 5mm-ring on the front so that the side with the cut-out-ring is on the front and put the lens protection glas above
6) secure both on the front-plate with 2 buttonhead screws in the left and bottom hole, and 1 countersunken screw on the top right hole (seen from the front)
7) cut the screws to the appropriate length, so that there is no end of the screw sticking out (and might tough the GoPro) make sure you've got the 5mm-part AND the lens protection glas mounted
