This Voltage Regulator accepts 6-26 VDC on its input and outputs 5VDC or 6VDC (jumper selectable). DC-DC switching technology ensures it runs cool, even with maximum 3A loads. Does not need a heatsink or forced air in typical operating environments.
It can be used as a radio control system BEC (battery eliminator circuit) or for other applications that need 5-6 VDC. For example, it can be used to power a 5V CCD video camera from a 2S to 6S (2-6 cell) LiPO battery pack.
When used as a R/C receiver BEC, the 3-pin cable is plugged directly into the receiver's battery port.
