This DiY upgrade kit allows you to convert the L-Com RE1208P patch antenna for use on 1258MHz and 1280MHz. It provides +8dBi gain and is
linear polarized.

does not change, but you will be amazed at the improved performance.
Why is this upgrade necessary? It's because the stock L-COM RE1208P patch antenna has reduced performance when it is used on 1258MHz - 1280MHz . These frequencies are outside the unmodified antenna's intended frequency range. But this upgrade kit fully restores the lost RF gain.
Compared to the stock antenna,
it's possible to experience nearly double the operating range in ideal environments!
The conversion takes about one hour and requires basic soldering skills. You simply remove the back cover from the L-Com patch antenna, unsolder the old patch element, and install the specially tuned element. Because the kit's patch element is precision machined your modified antenna will be correctly tuned; There's no need for RF test equipment.
