The Wasp V3 radio controlled helicopter is the latest 6 channel aerobatic helicopter with collective pitch and belt driven tail rotor. Not to be confused with the normal radio controlled helicopters that are on the market, this is an advanced model with wooden blades and more stable flight giving the ability to fly upside down and perform advanced stunts both indoors and outdoors. If you are looking for a helicopter that can do more than the standard movements and want to try something that can fly at high speeds and perform stunts then this is the helicopter to go for.
The WASP V3 is suitable for both indoor and outdoor flying as the collective pitch rotor head allows quick response on control inputs and copes easily with windy outdoor conditions. Not only can you learn how to fly a 6 channel helicopter with this model but you can then take the hobby so much further with the advanced performance abilities.
The Wasp V3 replaces the old Honey Bee CP3 and has been upgraded and improved in many ways. As well as looking better the helicopter has been constructed from lightweight but strong carbon and aluminium, giving you a much more resilient helicopter, but without adding to it's weight. It also has stronger parts used throughout including much thicker landing skids to protect it from heavy landings. The electronics have been upgraded with digital servos and new brushless motor that along with the belt drive system and aluminium parts make it much better value for money than the old Honey Bee CP3 that uses a brushed motor setup.
The transmitter and receiver have been upgraded to the new 2.4Ghz technology. 2.4Ghz is more reliable and allows many models to be used at the same time without having to change crystals like with the older MHz versions.
This model is designed with German know-how. It can be flown easily near the ground, and is highly damage-resistant. It has been designed to allow people to learn to fly before moving to the next more expensive models. The WASP V3's light and handy design is ideal for beginners due to its small body and good stability. Expert pilots will also enjoy this model however, because of its 3D acrobatic capabilities.
