TP610-ACDC is equipped with a compact, built-in 100-240V AC compatible switching adapter/power
supply. This adapter/supply allows the unit to be powered conveniently from a typical AC power outlet, while
the removable input power cord can also be removed when powering the unit from an 11-18V DC supply, such
as a 12V car battery, using the included DC input power leads. The removable AC input power cord can also be
exchanged with a compatible cord that features a connector/plug suitable for use with the AC outlets found in
many countries throughout the world. TP610-ACDC Hints and Tips:
In order to keep the TP610-ACDC as compact and durable as possible the all-aluminum case is designed to act
as a large heatsink. As a result, the case will become warm/hot during use so use care when handling and to
keep the area surrounding the unit clear. Also, be sure to keep the unit out of direct sunlight and in a cool place
while in use, perhaps even placing a fan nearby to move air across the case in order to minimize operating
temperature. Operating temps of 130 degrees F are not uncommon, especially in hot (100+ degrees F)
conditions, but it's best to keep the unit as cool as possible for maximum performance and longevity.
The back-lit LCD screen installed in your TP610-ACDC is designed to prevent permanent 'fading' when used in
high temp environments/conditions. So although the screen may become difficult to read if the unit becomes
warm, it should become clear again once the unit cools down. But again, you should keep the unit as cool as
possible at all times in order to prevent this or any other issues.
