The HobbyKing Smart LiPo is an excellent lightweight and compact solution for gliders and discus launch gliders and can also be used as a receiver pack to power smaller models with micro servos. The Smart LiPo has an integrated 1 cell (3.7v) LiPo and a high frequency, high performance voltage booster / regulator which increases the output voltage to 5v and also allows you to charge directly from another battery (6-16.8v max)
Another excellent design feature of the Smart LiPo is the built-in low voltage indicator which flashes when the voltage is reduced below 3.5v. Low voltage protection cut off is pre-set at 3.v to prevent over discharging of the battery.
